No matter what happens...

I will never fall out of love with God. He has blessed me with so many opportunities that most people have never been given the chance to think of. Protecting and nurturing me, even as a young baby, has given me the ability and strength in life to prosper. Blessings upon blessings, even as I continue to struggle in my walk with the Lord, shows me that he is real. Truly amazing and breathtaking. No matter what happens as my life goes forth, I know and believe that God is my sole protector and provider. I will never lose sight of the beautiful things and people he has given me. Even if things do not go my way, I know that is only because something is coming as a blessing in disguise. He gives abundantly and in his favor. God has given me the world at such a young age, that I do not even know how to thank him. Blessings and glory be upon him as I walk with him. I could never ask for a better father, as he has shown me the way.

Uplifting Our Men:

I am not color blind, but I do adore the African American man and what he stands for. Often, women use terms that we’re all very familiar with to refer to the opposite sex lol. There are more than the “aint shit” men and the “bitter” or “angry black women” of our race. Some women get the privilege of being considered normal, and there still may be something missing: Appreciation.

As African Americans, being strong AND intelligent is a responsibility.  Granted, we all mature at different rates, but we have to be thankful for the men that do mature and make something of themselves. More importantly, we need to start looking out for the ones who don’t. No tree evolves without roots.

I challenge you to do something nice for our black men as a whole; encourage them. This can be anything from mentoring a little boy, surprising your man for Valentine’s Day instead of the usual date, or something more serious as being a father if you already have a child of your own. Whichever you decide to do, know that our generation needs more successful African American men. Every little bit counts.

Happy Black History Month :)

I got this prose from a girl that I follow on Tumblr. I was just so amazed and impressed on her thoughts. It's quite rare that you find young women of color that yearn to support and love our men, and I commend her for that. Now, I don't feel like the lone bird in the park when I speak highly of our Black men. If you would like to find more information about her, this is her site: http://miluvsu.tumblr.com/.

For people that aren't in the DMV but need to know ALL of the DMV drama.. Here you go.

Recently, our man Wale went off at a Baltimore radio station, 92Q. Of course it was off-air, but it was recorded. This rant/meltdown is directed towards a local rapper, Bossman, who doesn't like Wale. Bossman went in again on Wale in a recent song called.... Nail the Coffin, (?) I think. But anyways, Wale went ham. I was scared, and yeahhh. Lol. But anyways, I understand Wale's frustration, because Raheem, Tabi, and him have the whole DMV on their backs, and it gets hard especially with a lot of haters. I still love you, Wale.

S/N: If I get a text from anybody else outside of the DMV area (which is D.C., Maryland, and NORTHERN Virginia), asking me if D.C. really don't mess with Wale, Imma go ham. It's annoying. Like, tf? The DMV has so much hate for each other, but we also love each other. Baltimore, which is a city in Maryland doesn't like to be associated with the DMV, which is cool. That's where the hate and drama mostly stems from; because Bmore hates D.C. and their artists... Blah blah blah. I can go on for days about the DMV and our problems, but it really doesn't matter, because if you ain't from the DMV, you don't need to know what's going on. Plain and simple. Stay in your lane.

Check the quotes and recording:
"What's up with all that bullshit niggas is talking on the air?" shouted Wale at radio hosts, who attempted to deflect blame to Bossman. "I ain't never had no problem with nobody, and ya'll the ones to start some bullshit?"

"I ain't never disrespected none of ya'll niggas before! And this shit a fuckin' joke to y'all?!" Said Wale, before demanding that Bossman be put on the phone, and accusing 92Q of dissing him behind his back.

Taking It Slow..

I hate the fact that people think that I don't like my boyfriend. Just because I don't make him my life, doesn't mean that I don't like him. Denzel is like my rock, in a sense. He keeps me sane and we equal each other out. He's been that guy I've gone to as just a companion for the past 5 to 6 months with NO titles. I wanted to learn about him first. He's always been my friend; someone who I liked to talk to. Within our friendship, feelings were gained and he wanted more. But, I wasn't ready, and he waited patiently. Finally, he asked me to be his girlfriend again, and I said yes. I had to get myself together before I let someone get so close to me again. I don't care what people think of Denzel because it's ridiculous. He treats me with so much respect and love, and that's exactly what I need. Bump all of the nonsense..

Purple Day = SUCCESS!

Purple Day! I just don’t understand why people cannot accept others that may be different from them. This discrimination HAS to stop. It's necessary and childish. You must embrace all :) RIP. God loves you dearly.

Purple Day!

Quotes of the day :)

Just because somebody flirts with you, Doesn’t mean they like you. Just because somebody likes you, doesn’t mean they wanna go out with you. Just because they wanna go out with you, Doesn’t mean they love you. Just because somebody loves you, Doesn’t mean they won’t hurt you. Because people lie, things change. partners cheat, and best friends ditch. And there are always gonna be those people who would kill to see you fall.

For every person who doesn’t like you, there are twice as many who does. So why should you care about those who don’t? You can never please everybody. If you’re being true to yourself and that isn’t still enough for them whats left for you to do? Nothing. Let them die talking about you.
